On Human Potential

George Bernard Shaw was a noted playwright. In his life he had occasion to meet many important and illustrious people. Among them were poets, men of literature, dramatists and actors. One day he was asked a question by a close friend of his: “Bernard, in your life you have met many famous people. If you were to live your life again, which of them would you like to be?” Bernard replied: “I would like to be the person; George Bernard Shaw could have been but never was.”

People set so many goals before them, but often they are never realized. It is because, the goals are haphazard and lightly taken and often abandoned at the first obstacle. Learn to set goals. When you have got a solid commitment and solid objectives, you’ve got a much better chance of reaching your goal.

Quote: “The indispensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.” Ben Stein
