English Physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist and theologian. Known for universal gravitation and the three laws of motion, which have dominated the scientific view of the physical universe for over three centuries. But he had his early failings. He never did particularly well in school and was considered ‘unpromising’ in school grades. When put in charge of running the family farm, he failed so poorly that an uncle took charge of him and sent him off to Cambridge where he finally blossomed as the scholar we have today.
