Dr John Parankimalil, popularly called Fr. P.D. Johny is largely remembered for the change and transformation he brought into St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong where he served as Principal for long 14 years (Feb. 1993 – Feb. 2007). Presently he is the Principal of Don Bosco College of Teacher Education, Tura. He has served the State of Meghalaya as a member of various committees and has authored several books. 05 | Awarded Guruvar Lifetime Best Teacher Award by Gems Foundation. The award was conferred by Shri. Kapil Sibal, HRD Union Minister at New Delhi on 23rd December, 2009. The award consisted of a citation and a cash prize of Rs. Ten lacs. |
